Be First has launched its Strategic Plan & Roadmap 2025–2030, outlining the next phase of our work to accelerate inclusive regeneration in Barking and Dagenham.The plan sets out how we will evolve from direct delivery to a new partnership-led model, maximising the potential of the Council’s asset portfolio to drive growth, attract investment, and deliver social value. Our goal is to secure partnerships to build 3,650 homes by 2030, alongside new jobs, cultural opportunities, and high-quality public spaces. This comes as the LBBD Cabinet prepares to consider the Barking Investment Partnership Delivery Strategy (16 September 2025) – a new approach designed to unlock regeneration in Barking Town Centre and the River Roding Transformation Area while minimising further Council borrowing.
