Currently the site at the corner of London Road and North Street, Barking is undeveloped land. It is not providing any benefit to the local community. In the past it has attracted flyposting and antisocial behaviour. The site is in an ideal location: close to Barking rail station and well served by buses.
Together with Yara Capital, we are currently working on plans to ensure the site provides a mixed residential and commercial development with maximum community benefit.
- Providing approximately 190 new homes for local people and new shops at street level.
- A mix of homes, including homes designed for families and a significant amount of affordable housing.
- A sympathetic design which will enhance Barking’s fast-changing skyline and provide a landmark at the heart of Barking town centre.
