Linton Road and Crown House

Changing the face of Barking town centre
We’re planning to redevelop the Linton Road car park and the site of Crown House, on Cambridge Road, Barking. Our aim is to help rejuvenate Barking town centre and build hundreds of badly needed new homes.
We plan:
- 400 new homes – in two high rise buildings
- shared ownership, affordable rent and market rent apartments
- retail and commercial units – ideal for start-up businesses
- improved environment, better access and a public square
In the first phase we will build new affordable homes for the council on the car park, and in the second phase the existing Crown House tower block will be demolished and new homes constructed on the site. The Baptist Church and 26 Linton Road will remain.

Inevitably building on this scale will cause some disruption. But we believe that the proposals will radically improve this site, provide much-need new homes and a range of facilities and amenities that will help revitalise Barking town Centre.
We have appointed McLaren Construction as our main contractor to deliver this exciting project.
